Saturday, May 3, 2008, 9:00 a.m. - Quinebaug River Paddle Excursion

Join TLGV staff and volunteer member Tom Brennan for an enjoyable kayak and canoe paddle on the Quinebaug River between Wauregan and Canterbury, CT.   The AMC River Guide refers to this section of the river as a pleasant, novice-friendly stretch of 5.6 miles of uninterrupted flat water with good current though wooded country. This stretch of the river passes the Quinebaug Valley Trout Hatchery and goes through the Quinebaug Wildlife Area. Participants must provide their own kayak or canoe, and must have a personal flotation device. A fee of $15 per person is required for transportation and refreshments. Participants will drop their boat off at the launch location, and drive their vehicles to the take-out location in Canterbury. TLGV will provide transportation back to the launch area.

Friday, May 30, 2008, 5:00 p.m. - Annual Meeting

The Annual Meeting of the Quinebaug-Shetucket Heritage Corridor, Inc. will be held the evening of Friday, May 30, 2008, at the Southbridge Hotel and Conference Center in Southbridge, MA.  Click on this link for more details.
